PHADA's 2024 Civil Rights and Social Justice $5,000 Scholarship has been awarded to Elizabeth Bullard of Auburn, AL. Elizabeth is currently a Drum Major for the Auburn High school Marching band and an officer for Tri-M Music Honor Society. In the summer of 2024, she will do an internship with Auburn University researching the African Americans buried in Baptist Hill Cemetery to share their story with the community, and will be an incoming freshman there this fall majoring in Biosystems Engineering. She hopes to gain a career that will assist the environment to flourish for the future.

NO handwritten applications will be accepted. They are fillable pdf's, so complete, print and scan into ONE file with the supporting documentation!

Also, applications are for undergraduate studies, post-graduate applications will not be accepted.

HAI Group 2023 Resident Scholarship Program

Scholarship awards are $6,000 each and are issued to your educational institution before the fall 2023 academic term. A total of 20 scholarships will be awarded. Scholarships may be awarded to past recipients of the scholarship program. Prior recipients who enter and fulfill all requirements shall be awarded preference over new applicants, and remaining scholarships shall be awarded to new applicants after such preference is given.

The 2023 Resident Scholarship Program is now open! We accept electronic applications until 3 p.m. ET on Friday, April 28, 2023.

NAHRO Merit College Scholarship/NAHRO-LDG Scholars Program

  • Three (3) $12,000 scholarships over four years to assist with tuition and fees which will also include:
    • $3,000 a year for up to three years, as a summer internship stipend
    • Networking opportunities with business and community leaders

Applicants must submit an essay of 750-1,000 words to answer the following questions: "Where do you see yourself in the next four years and how will this scholarship help you achieve those goals?" and "What are you doing now to achieve those goals?"
