Little Free Library Opening at Lafayette Housing Authority

Lafayette Housing Authority and Freedom in Christ invite you to attend a party celebrating the grand opening of the Little Free Library at Lafayette Housing Authority on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 3:45 pm. to 5:00 pm. The event is open to the public. The event will be held at Lafayette Housing Authority, Administrative Office, located at 301 1st Avenue S.W., Lafayette, Alabama.  The celebration will include a ribbon cutting and refreshments.

The Little Free Library is a place where books can be borrowed by simply picking one out.  The books will be stored in an area open to all.  The intent is for children to leave a book when they take a book, so that there will always be books available and the library remains stocked. It’s our hope that this Little Free Library will encourage children throughout our community and city to enjoy the pleasure of giving, reading, and to connect with other children in the area.  

Anyone wishing to donate new or used books may do so at the Lafayette Housing Authority office Monday through Thursday, 7 am. until 5:30 pm.
